Day 4 of sch

Ezanne did mummy so proud today again.. Another milestone of her life.. Going to nursery n she did it so well!

So glad to finally get my mil's msg that ezanne got up the sch bus n is on the way home not knowing that mil is sitting behind.. Mil said ezanne is ok :)

Can't wait to hear more abt her day in sch today.. She grew up so much in a week!

Yest I downloaded a new app on maths. Me n hb were so surprised to knw that she can comprehend subtraction so well!
I'm so proud of myself too when I made it so easy to understand.. Told my hb that I can open a preschool oredi! Haaa...

My girl told me yest that she likes mummy only! So I corrected her that she shld like everyone but like mummy most of all.. Hee..

Her growing up is so fun n enjoyable.. Very lovable girl n the precious of us all!

This morn, in laws got ready n waited for her early at 7.30am.. I'm fortunate to hve their help :)

I love it when we do things as a family :) n ezanne is the bridge for us all..

This is the 3rd day of sch n I'm so proud of my lil princess!

On day 3, she's so brave oredi.. After crying for few minutes, she settled dwn with the class. Singing songs is what she loves most n I'm glad that this sch has wat we need for our girl :)

Been really stressed out the last few days.. Worried that she will hve prob adapting n assuring myself that this is the right kindy for her..

Today, she made me proud..

Tmr gonna b a new challenge but I'm sure my mil will ensure she is ok.. Ezanne will b taking sch bus home frm tmr on..

I'm off to work now.. Rewarded her with a simple treat.. N will bring her fav watermelon tonite!

Today, the sch is bringing them to science centre! We r all excited abt it!

She slept early knowing that she needs to wake up early for the trip..

Woke her up at 7am today.. She ate 1/2 softboil egg n gonna drink her mor milk.. Hope she won't get too hungry later..

Gonna pick her up later in the afternoon!

Other than the celebration with J at ECP few yrs back.. Jus the 2 of us.. Enjoying quality couple time tog with my hello kitty lantern.. This is our most celebrated mid au festival :)

I still rem last yr I brought her dwnstairs myself cos J needed to work. N it was a candle-less lantern..

But this year, our daddy rushed home so that he can celebrate with his sweetie..

Last weekend was fun time for us all!

It was a windy Sunday afternoon.. we had a few hrs of free time. So went to Ecp for a short relaxing family time..

Little girl wanted to go walk walk n she's happy to be at the beach again!

She rem being there before n mayb not the picnic..

We watched remote car mini race under the sun.. She loves it!

Went to the arcade for the first time.. Jus excited abt the sweet n doll catchers..

Playground outside Mac was safe n fun!

Nuggets, Milo, corn n toy train frm the happy meal made her happy :)

Trying out every rides n climbing in n out of them r thrilling eventhough they r stationary..

Walking along the beach with mummy n daddy was nice..

Daddy brought her near the sea n let me touch the seawater.. It was new to her..

Both mummy n daddy helped me got rid of the sand in her sandals n tiny toes.. That was ticklish..

Today is ezanne's sch national day celebration..

She cited a long Chinese poem abt national flag on our way to sch.. So proud of her!

N this is the first time I bring her to sch n see her let the teacher do screening.. She stuck out her tongue, let teacher take temp n show her hands.. Then stood with the other children n wait for her teacher.. :) so happy that she has finally adapted to sch.. Told me this morn that she missed mrs thang..

That day I took ezanne on a weekday morning train.. N she asked.. Why is everyone sleeping? Haahaa.. Told her, they r tired n need to rest..

She asked again.. Why the door needs to open? Why the door needs to close? N she jus went on and on the whole journey..

Visit to kkh children clinic..

Realized she developed rashes this morn.. But oni after the father's day dinner did we realized she was feverish n little lethargic.. Took her temp at 9pm n it was 38.5degree..

Decided to bring her to kkh as there is no clinic on a sat nite..

Being first timer, I got to the wrong dept.. But a very kind nurse hurriedly walk me to the children emergency clinic.. I'm impressed by her urgency..

Ezanne cried when she saw the nurse.. The first screening was done within the first few minutes after we got our q number.. ezanne quiet dwn after getting a sweet.

The dr there was prof n assuring.. He was clear n we listened carefully n asked questions which he answered n repeated the impt points..

We reached Hm before 11pm n her fever went dwn frm the medicine I gave her before the visit..

Mayb we were too careful or jus inexperienced.. But it is a meaningful experience for all of us..

Hope her fever will continue to go dwn n rashes subside.

For the past days, I hve been struggling between hsework n time spend with the little one..

This sch holiday has been unplanned n I'm feeling bad abt it..

So eventhough it's tiring, I try to spend a little more time with her..

Ezanne is nt gg to sch becoz of a sink now. N I passed my keys to mil cos they gonna wait at my Hse for the sink.

Ezanne loves planets! She can read all the 9 planets with tiny help n rem them in sequence.. I'm so proud of my 31mth bb girl!

She helps me learn too..

It's a joy teaching her.. She jus learn abt electricity frm a book I borrowed.. I'm glad she shows interests.. She will run around showing me where are the switches n appliances with electricity.. Enjoyed handling the batteries.. Telling me bulb.. N the various household appliances.. N wires..

She was very excited.. Told her granny that she brought back her worksheets.. She said she wanna show mummy! N for the whole afternoon, she had been asking when I will b back so that she can show me her worksheets..

When i'm back, she point at her bag hanging there and say proudly.. Worksheet ler! These are the 3rd set of worksheets she had completed.. The first 2 have a file n she will ask me to bring them out to read every now n then..

That was when I reconcile what she was reading n preaching on the papers!

Yest evening, being conscious not to dampen her exciting mood n go take my shower, we brought the worksheets out at the living room n she memorised the phrases! Me n my mil were amazed by her ability to memorise up almost every readers in at least 4-6 lines each.. Both English n mandarin.. :) I'm so proud of her n she knows it!

Letterland is her new interest ..
Helps her in her alphabets.. Now she can recognise a, b, c, d, e, f, m, o, u, x and z on the cards.. N now her letterland set further expanded the range..

Last nite she introduced me to Annie apple, eddy elephant, firefighter Fred, Harry hatman, talking Tess, munching mike!!

Daddy J aso wow at the amount of things she learnt over 4 mths..

Ezanne has always been a sweet darling.. Esp when I spent a lot more time with her these few days.. She has been singing 'I love mummy' in English n mandarin..

She started sch again this week n I'm so glad she love sch n doesn't cry anymore..

Though in a dilemma of whether to let her continue there after June, I shall leave this till J comes back. I'm very happy with her progress with this sch n m pleased with the way the sch manages the small details in a very well-organized n assuring manner.. It's impt to hve motivating principal n caring teachers.. I'm glad we found them here..

Ezanne loves to show me hw to dance ballet after I show her doing it tipped toe n hands above.. Would like to let her try nxt yr when her feet are firmer n developed.. Next in view is whether a temp change of playgroup to ease everyone's hardship travelling.. Then Lorna whisten's speech n drama class seemed suitable for her..

She missed her teacher n frens at baby jumper gym.. Too bad I feel that her attention span is short there n her benefit frm memory n gym are almost expended frm the 9 mths there..

Today marks 10 years 3 weeks n 6 days of our togetherness.. Another 2hrs will b our 11th yr anniversary!

I'm surprised to receive this frm dear..

We happened to pass by fossil counter at bugis the day before he flew n I told him I like the blinky watch.. N who knows he got the same watch even before that.. Telepathy :) n he also considered the strap which I commented that day.. I'm pleased..

Miss not being tog on our special day Tmr.. But this special gift reminded us of our love for each other..

Is children nowadays learning too fast?

I'm surprised by her ability to remember phrases taught by teacher in sch.. Reconciling with the worksheets she brought back..

Every word is read out so nicely n accurately.. English n mandarin.. I'm impressed by this 29mth girl.. Wonder if this is the normal speed of learning now..

N she use words like 'actually', 'but', 'otherwise' freely..

"actually this is not hot" she said.

Start of counting down again.. He left for his detachment exercise again.. This time though only 20 days.. It still seems so long..

Trying all ways to countdown.. 5 days down when the week ends.. Etc.. Haa...

It's another week of nite shift n seriously, I have not got used to it eventhough he has been working this way for the past 8 yrs..

This is our 11th valentine's day.. Recalling what was exciting at our very first when the stalker revealed.. Hahaha.. Still rem the red bouquet of roses which now only the sticks remained.. Still tied up with the red ribbon..

This yr, my hb simply surprised me with Angry Bird! Yes! He got me this us$0.99 vday angry bird app for my iPhone.. Wat an unique idea..

That really made the topic for the nite..

Part 2 din come n he scored badly although the idea was creative..

So he brought me out for ice-cream after dinner :) without ezanne n out for less than an hr.. I'm jus pampered by sweet thoughts frm him throughout the day.. Here is the sweet treat..

We're blessed with a cute little girl :)

This year's reunion dinner was at my mum's and mil place.. Short of the usual dinner out at restaurant made time more manageable.. We reached home by 9 plus :)

Was discussing with J abt bringing ezanne to enrichment classes..

We are very pleased with our decision to let her attend baby jumper gym as she displayed nice memory skills n learnt many important skills there.. She can say Monday to Sunday now and able to display photographic memory skill for some items.. :) was telling J tat I will recommend anyone with babies to try that..

Perhaps toddlers jus learn at extreme speed? I dunno? Regardless of gg to enrichment? Hmm.. Up to individual..

But both of us hope to introduce her with a musical instrument or even dance to start her with an interest that she can continue even when she goes to primary sch.. That is if she wants to :)

I m happy with the many things that she learnt in sch over the last mth n she is happy to share it with me! Although she still cry n prefer to b at home, I'm sure she enjoyed the learning process cos that's wat she displayed :)

Yesterday my sweet darling ran to me with the hong bao that her teacher gave her! I was overjoyed n so was she!

She read her name loud! N told me there is money in it.. It's chocolate coin! She said:" inside 30 dollars.. Ezanne go buy chicken rice now!"

Attended a lunch rom with hubby today.. Had a great time there with his frens n the wedding couple was truly compatible :)

I love going to weddings.. It nvr fail to touch my heart n open up that wide smile while seeing the couple exchange vows.. Today, the solemnizer impressed us.. He spoke very well n very meaningful speech.. He reminded all married couple that marriage is a reverse path as studying.. It started off with the certificate n then the learning start n continue a long way.. He spoke abt how people discard things in this modern society but caution us to think n feel n make sure we do not bring this to relationship.. A marriage n relationship shld b repaired when spoilt.. It shld nt be discarded like other 'things'..

His words are so meaningful..

Oh ya.. I throw rose petals for the couple! How fun..

The lunch was a little disappointing but it's nice to attend wedding with J n seeing his frens.. Hope to catch up again..

There are a few more weddings this year! Will b bringing the little one along.. :)

1. For my little girl to be brave n independent.. Blend into the school environment soon n not cry anymore.
2. For my girl to be healthy.. No more coughing n running nose.. Jus applied nose drop for her.. Hope she will get well sn..
3. For my girl to enjoy every moment of learning n playing..
4. For my dear hubby to b healthy n happy..
5. For my hubby to b safe at work n on road..
6. For my hubby to hve a fulfilling career..
7. For my parents n in laws to b healthy, well n happy..
8. For my friends to b happy n well..
9. For me to b healthy, happy n more patient..
10. For me to hve a smooth sailing year in all aspect.. N my love ones be blessed with the same..

Total spending = 18 + 10 + 185 = 213. Din get the bed side lamp but got a few other stuffs. Budgeted $450 for this makeover.. Hee.. Maybe jus minor makeover :)

This was supposed to b another of the long dreadful week when J had to work nite shift..

But life goes on.. N I'm pretty comfortable staying with my in laws..

Over dinner tonite, we chatted abt Hse, ezanne etc.

Ezanne n me then retreat back to our little space.. N some 'us' time.. Jus as I was singing to her n myself to sleep, the door opened n J is back! Both me n ezanne were happy to see him.. :)

It felt like sunshine is back again into my life.. I must admit that although I'm independent, I truly truly still need him around.. Our family is complete with all of us :)

Now I have a wonderful weekend waiting for us n the wait is going to b much easier.. :) thankful for everything..

Look awaited weekend! After a full 5 work week.. I'm drained.. Yet an exciting wkend awaits us..

Sat morn, we woke up n ezanne did a painting for her teacher :) it was my idea.. Thought it will b nice gift for her teacher jesslyn at the end of the 9mths at Baby Jumper gym :)

Then we set off shopping at tm.. She's elated to see the big x'mas tree n Santa claus! We went toy r us but wow the long queue.. We dropped the toy n left.. Haha.. Sorry ezanne, mummy n daddy dun like queuing..

But we went kiddy palace n found this nice set of play doh :)

But after making dinner for the princess n J, I felt that I'm really too tired.. The headache started then.. Went to rest n leaving them to play.. Finally, popped a panadol at 11pm but woke up the nxt morn with a bad headache still.. I knw tat is migraine again..

Frightened my ger when I vomitted on the way to her class.. N during the lesson, the pain was unbearable.. The magic pill had nt done it's magic yet.. But the children r so sweet n innocent.. Can't help smiling though I'm in pain..

My ger gave her teacher the painting.. The teacher's reaction was nt too expressive but I take it that she's tensed to get the nxt lesson started.. Ezanne got her term present frm her teacher n we all took a grp photo too :)

Still haunted by the wicked migraine, we went to my mum place.. Struggling.. J helped to cook for ezanne but he's so funny.. Asking for instruction on hw to cook.. He put the whole piece of fish although he felt something is wrong.. Then came running in n say" u din slice the fish u knw?" Haa.. I din tell him to put the fish in yet.. Jus tat it is tog with the meat so he presume all drop in lor.. Anyway, gd try :)

Finally, the pain is gone n I can enjoy the wkend :) with my parents n family.. So filled with joy n laughter!

I'm contented :)

J n I looked at ezanne .. N smile.. Both suddenly felt that our little girl has grown up :)

She insisted climbing the stairs herself when we bid goodbye to her ah ma n gong gong.. N waving gdbye to them.. N she held the railings n one foot after another.. She climbs, jump n dance very well nw :) n as we got into the lift, we observed her n she looked at us.. N we all smile.. The feeling is so heartwarming n comforting :)

Another milestone

I almost forgot to post abt a big accomplishment.. Little girl is semi toilet trained oredi! It all started abt 2 mths ago when I jus thought it's time.. The transition was smooth.. Thankful for that.. :) n with the motivation of my mum.. N little girl did hve accidents too.. N she makes us 'busy busy' cleaning up..

Well, that is growing up.. N now she only wear diaper while she sleeps.. Not in a rush to wean her off so soon.. :) project for next yr..

N my little one is going school very soon.. Last nite, I tried to encourage her again.. Telling her wat she will do in school while nai nai goes to market to buy fruits for her.. Recalling abt the fun in sch during the orientation.. The singing, the toys, the food.. Haa... I definitely wanna prepare her as best as possible.. But let's see hw it goes on her actual days...

Today is a big day for my little girl.. Her first orientation for pre-nursery..

The quiet sweet girl seems very uncomfortable with so many new faces.. Her teachers n friends are all brand new.. She's nvr gd in expressing herself in a new environment.. Something that I hope she will learn along the way..

I was excited abt the new phase she is stepping into.. Being the cheery mummy.. Trying to make her enjoy the process but not making her feel overwhelmed.

This is her when she first reach the sch.. Pple commented that she's so pretty n cute..

After the briefing session, we proceeded to 3rd flr the music class..

She's a little afraid already.. N I start to get worried.. She did follow some actions with the other children but still hve her reservations..

After the Chinese teacher, Wang lao shi, finished the short session, they went dwn to 2nd flr.. Toilet was clean but the children their age really need help.

Finally to their class area.. Lotus class.. It's their snack time.. N everyone has hotdog bun n Milo..

My little ezanne is a little worried abt the new environment n so is mummy.. N mummy is afraid she will nt b able to take care of herself.. The thought that she's jus 25mth old came to me.. she's still so little..

I hope that my girl will grow up to b a confident n cultured young girl.. Able to face any difficulties in life positively n cleverly.. :)

Daddy j aso kept a look out for his baby.. He acted as a strong support for both of us today.. Assuring her n telling her that she will come back again.. Asking her if she likes to come back.. N helped her try on her uniform :)

And to ease my anxiety, he assured that our baby will learn lots in sch.. He said:" we cun expect her to know everything nw.. It's all abt learning. Learning hw to eat n return the utensils.. If she knows everything, she won't need to come here." this helped me take a step back n look at things differently.. I admit that i'm one of those kiasu mummy who's afraid that my baby is worse off.. It's nt a bad thing.. But at least I knw I won't overbroad with J keeping an eye..

So tired.. She's sleeping nw n I shld too..

So much for a quick meal yesterday.. Spaghetti n pizza.. I decided to treat ourselves with nice healthy chinese dinner :)

1. Stir-fry Buay Leng with mushrooms..
2. Sweet n sour pork..
3. Steamed fresh pomfret..
4. Tonic chicken soup..

It's nice to see my little princess sing n dance n running here n there..

29 oct 2010.. It all started on 18 mar 2000 n we decided to hve our little own world on 29 oct 2006 after 6 yrs of courtship.. Today is our 4th wedding anniversary :)

We had a great day today :) decided to take the day off work to spend time tog..

Dim sum for breakfast..

Simple meal.. Leave room for the lunch buffet that hubby's bringing me :)

We next went to check out LV.. Something that he promised to get me when he return frm his trip.. N it became my bday present but was out of stock then.. But finally, I got it at our day :) yeah! So happy..!

Shopped ard and got a mulberry body lotion frm sephora.. Sweet :D

Oh ya, I got J a puma Ferrari sling bag.. Something that I got a few weeks back n can't wait but gave him 3 days ago.. He likes it too n I feel that it suits him well :) hehe

Then drove to suntec for lunch.. He brought me to kushin-Bo a Japanese buffet restaurant.. We haven't hve buffet for a long time.. And we r delighted by the spread :) nice place too n fantastic service :) We enjoyed ourselves alot..

Ezanne likes to sing n speak.. Her vocabulary is pretty strong for her age now.. :) she loves to do matching too.. N recently, I got her number cards!

She know the whole range of food in her big basket.. M surprised tat she followed n rem words like 'croissant', 'chicken drumstick', 'eggplant' n many more..

She can speak with her granny over the phone now n pple loves talking to her :)

She surprised me again when she picked up the clips n started counting.. '1 clip.. 2 clip.. 3 clip'! I was like.. Wow! I dun expect her to catch that.. Was jus introducing her to counting..

I hope she's enjoying her learning process...

What made her cry so much over the wkend? We can't make out whether she's jus naughty or not feeling well..

J felt that she's jus trying to get her way by throwing tantrum n crying on purpose.. I started to feel that it is the case until when she started complaining abt tummy pain..

I try to talk to her tonite.. Abt how she was naughty n cried for nothing n she knows she cannot do that..

We learn along the way n I hope J can share my load on teaching our princess..

She learnt to go toilet in jus one week n I'm very proud of her.. I learnt to b more patient with her as well..

Her vocabulary is bigger now n she speak in full sentences now.. Talking to her is always a pleasure :) n listening to her songs is simply enjoyable!
