Hey~!! still remember the previous Children's Day??

I have the biggest celebration last yr! Come to think of it... think it's so great being a child again... giving candies... hehehhe... But I guess many friends must be puzzeled when they got my candies.. some may even think "aiyo, u r over-age child leh!".. but 'Kai Xin Jiu Hao!'
Don't think I will still celebrate like this after I join the 'Mrs' club =D
Then ok, xmas will take over from here to be my favourite day of the yr =) cos it's our the day when J pop the question and it's a day of presents!!!

Wedding is drawing near... someone asked if I'm excited or scared... hmm, right now I'm feeling very excited =D esp when I got friends and J supporting me along the planning stage... I experienced anxiety, stressful and disappointing moments... a few hiccups here and there... but there are also heartwarming surprises they I got from friends and J... Both of us feel that we do not want to miss out any nice people when we plan our guest list.. and it's real sweet that most friends accept our invitation and most of all their well-wishes... close friends are feeling the excitement with me and it's great!!

Thanks to Jie Meis, who share my joys and worries... esp Jes, who is so sweet to cheer me up when I'm stressed...
Thanks to Joy, my best friend ever, for the support and compliment on my wedding gown...
Thanks to Hazel, whose replied me jus at the right moment that she will attend with her hubby and sent me photo of their lovely princess =)
Thanks to ex-classmates, who accepted my invitation and get me all amoured (quoted frm frances)
Thanks to my ever cheerful team members, whom I share my engagement news, proposal news and some other stories abt J and me..
Thanks to my close colleagues, who gave me suggestions and opinions =)
Thanks to all colleagues and friends, who accepted my invitation.. if not, gave us their blessings..
Thanks to mummy, who is more excited than me... helping me do 'jia zhuang' while i was at bangkok.. and making many trips for me to find out the chinese customs to follow..
Finally..Big thank u to J, who come so far building our home tog and making the bangkok trip so enjoyable that I'm happy and excited abt the wedding now!

Time for some updates....

After 27 Aug 06 when we have so-called moved house, things shift a little towards planning for the wedding... =D

Mummy brought me to choose my Jia Zhuang... a diamond set of bracelet, earrings and a lovely necklace =) suit the grand wedding gown that I will be wearing.. hehe...

The day just before our trip to bangkok, we were practically racing for time.. since we will be taking the break over the weekend, less time to settle other things... I was quite pitiful that friday... Took half day off to go and view the bridal photo layout with J and try the teadress.. Cos J had to go back to work, I stayed there myself to try on the last dress... then decided that I still like the halter-neck white gown which I used for photoshooting.. hehe.. so bargained for the rental of that gown.. hahahha.....

Then I rushed down to cityhall to take a look at the wedding cards... the salespersons there are super-busy.. then couples came in and chose their cards while I just flip and waiting for the saleperson to take some attention on me.. Took photos of some of the cards and calling J for some decision.. then I gave up and decide to come back after our trip... Haven't eaten anything from morning, I make my way to parkway parade to get some items... by the end of the day, I was exhausted!!

Hahahah... not that bad lah hor?!?!
Okok... now the happy part =D

On 9th Sep 06, we set off to Bangkok taking Jetstarasia =)
This was the most enjoyable trip with J ever... I'm so glad that we enjoyed the stay alot.. actually, it's not where we go for holiday... Think it's jus nice having to travel tog... We deserve this short 4 days trip... both of us are stressed with the house and the wedding coming... It's a great idea to relax and rest our minds...

The first day, when we reached the hotel, the first impression was really bad.. I thought it's a run-down hostel when we were brought to the room and the attendant switched on the aircon for us... But then I realised it's a very clean place.. so much better than the last hotel I stayed at bangkok.. Comfortable with a balcony and our room is on the 2nd flr.. the hotel is under reno.. that's why no air-con at the corridor.. After some rest, we went shopping near our hotel at MBK.. Later that nite, we went to the night market and more shopping... hahahhah.... We were both tired from the flight and walking.. but then it's nice and relaxing...

2nd day at chuktuchat... the weather was great! cloudy and little breeze... drizzle a little and stopped... wonderful weather to go scouting for things for the hse.. we bought some dining oranments and small cups and miniature tea set... not forgetting the vase and flowers.. also the pouch and hanky =D
Left the market ard 3pm.. went back to MBK to tabao Mac.. then went back to hotel to rest... As usual, I start taking photos of the items we bought!!
That nite, we explore other shopping centres at Siam area... How much Bangkok changed over the 2 yrs....! Siam paragon is something like S'pore Paragon.. We had a great time at the supermarket! hahhahaha.... Bought the thailand durian back to hotel... had 1 and I have sore throat the next day!

3rd day (Mon), we planned to go pratunam area for shopping... After breakfast at the hotel, we have stroll to pratunam... this time, I dun have to check the map!! Can just tell J where and he will bring me.. hehehehhe..... well, I be the guide lah.. On our way there, we stopped to check the map and a thai gentleman asked if we need help... I was a little defensive but he explained that he is a Uni lecturer and today is their weekly holiday.. buddha day..! so pratunam will oni open at 2pm.. we are 2 hrs early.. he suggest that he hail a taxi for us and help us negotiate for the fare to visit the temple and a factory that is on sales before sending us to pratunam... We decided to go ahead but with caution =)

He left us and the taxidriver took us to a chinese temple.. we pay our respect and went back.. he said he will bring us to the temple now! Har?! I thought that was it oredi! heheheh.... we reach a temple which is not open to public.. but we are allowed in and pay our respect to the late masters... A friendly guy explained the history to us... Felt real good after that...

Next was the factory that sell sapphire and ruby... I thought it was expensive there.. so the taxidriver took us to another smaller shop.. I chose a pair of sapphire ring and pendant for J's mum... also a pair of ruby ring and pendant for my mum =)

Last stop was to pratunam... not much shopping at the market but I bought some items at the shopping centres nearby =) it's similar to fareast in s'pore! hahhahah....

That nite, as planned, we went back to siam paragon for all thai food =D my throat is really bad by then.. hehe.. Back to MBK, bought 2 tix to watch 'Click'.. we rushed back to hotel then went back for the late movie.. Long commericials and previews.. then suddenly, everyone stood up! We were caught by this sudden reaction and I thought we need to change cinema or what.. then the King's photo appear on the screen... Oic! Thought it's oni for the Pirates of the Carribean... so it's every movie screening.. hahahha.... The movie was great!!

Last day at bangkok... after breakfast, we checked out and took the same taxi to the airport.. The driver was as friendly... 'Bye Bye Bangkok!' he said... hehehhe....

Yes! bye bangkok =D fly back to S'pore feeling tired but very very happy!
