IT show and supermart

Finally! i got a new laptop..
Have been on this for almost 2 yrs?? since then i have been wanting to get one.. but bu se de =D

Until when i started playing maple and really frustrated with the old laptop that i decided to really get one on the IT fair.. when on fri and sat.. it's 100 bucks difference..! wonder if it falls lower on sun =P dun wanna know.. hahahah...

Also got the printer which was having discount at courts but we missed the offer..

As usual there are lots and lots of pple there... many purchases during the 4 days fair.. jus thought why s'porean buy like it's free?? hehe... boxes and boxes of laptops, printers, cameras etc... and the place is congested with people and cars... If not for the offer i have been waiting.. i will give the place a miss.. hehe.. well.. compensate the walking and waiting with a gd waffer ice-cream at changing appetite.. think J is facsinated with the food fare they got..

Yest, J decided to make fried rice and toufu soup for dinner.. it's a replacement to my chocolate fondue treat for our anniversary.. cos he promised the fondue when i have the craving during our honeymoon and know what.. it's 4mths plus oredi! the craving definitely died down =D
so we went to the new giant..

as it's NEW, it's always crowded! we went there ard 6 and gosh.. got there at 7! even though it's oni 10mins away from home =P
the queue to the car park was unbearable.. finally got there and there's so many people.. J ask:"it is an cheaper than other giant?" well no lor and it's not any cheaper than any supermart.. but people still go there.. cos it's new, it's big, every one goes there.. hahhahaha... we regret after being trapped in the jam.. hahahha...

well.. i understand how crowded s'pore is now... =D

my special cheesecake..n apple crumbles

I have a baking partner now!

Probably influenced and motivated by T.. I have been baking a lot these days..
Esp when te comments are postitive, it made baking more enjoyable =D

My first try of cheesecake was using T's fren's recipe.. I tried after T tried and tested the recipe to be positive =P haha... Cotton cheesecake.. the fluffy cheesecake (i named it)..

Did it on the chinese vday morning.. planning to bring to my in-laws if it's successful.. luckily it did glad that they like it!!

Remembering... J's mum was looking listless jus before we got there.. then she brightens seeing us =) and when i bring out the cheescake.. she was so excited and suggest to try it now =)
I'm very happy and appreciate their enthusiatism in my baking..

It's nice that they still give positive comment last wed when we went down for dinner.. hehe..

So when J was on duty last sat.. I made the fluffy cheesecake, kept it in a box and deliver to my in-laws hse.. hope my fil is happy with this small thought for his bday today..

Also had my first try of apple crumble last sat.. I made 2 items that morning =D very proud of myself.. hehe.. it's ok.. i hope.. can't really trust J to give truthful comment.. hahahha....

That morning.. the funny thing is that I tried to call my in-law to make sure someone is at home to open the door.. it's strange that the home phone is engaged.. so tried smsing my mil.. she replied she's playing mahjong.. as expected..

I arrived there and they are still playing.. i reckon they will play till evening.. there i stood at the door.. she din get up at all.. i told her i got no keys and she got the auntie nearest to the door to pass me the ley.. I was like.. ok... later i got in and it's jus weird.. i felt like so lost.. put down the boxes and told her what i brought.. dunno how to react and she's so engrossed, i suggest that i go off... i was there for abt 5 mins?? hehe.. i was curious.. so tried calling the home phone again.. it's still engaged.. hahhahah... now i know what is happening..

Can't help but to let J know.. he is equally amused by it.. i told him.. ur mum really pro hor =D

My magician in Maple

Although my bro and everyone else are already level 70+.. and me oni 19.. I’m still very proud of myself =D

For someone who cun play any simulative game like me… it’s very challenging =)
Now my character has a magician hat, robe and wand!
Started off knowing nothing.. Still rem I got so excited when someone talk to me and wanna buddy me.. =P hahahhaha…. And now I can hit monsters easily! Not that good still but good enuf for me!

There are times that I thought I got hooked to the game.. it's fun! But think it's another new thing that I learn.. Well.. wait till I get up to level 25.. I will start my 2nd plan!

Talked to J this afternn.. for him.. I'm glad to know that he learnt many things frm playing online games and probably I too am inspired to view it differently =D

All in all.. I can say I've at least improve my finger skills! hahahhaha

The sewing lesson..

I’m someone who really hates to sew.. I can fold the pants after the thread came off.. and dun wanna check it until one day it fall out.. hahahah….

Just before cny, I even ask frens if it’s ok that I ask J to bring his pants to my mil for altering.. and the gers are so kind to agree with me =) well, luckily it did not happen.. his jeans are just rite! ‘Heng arh!’

Just the day before.. J came home with his army uniform, 2 tags, a roll of thread and a needle (from my mil’s place).. He show me where to sew them and said:" Just do simple stitches.. Anyhow sew can liao"..

Me looking at the uniform, tags and ‘equipments’.. my reaction was ‘Har?!’…’Jaws almost dropped!’… ‘Why ask me to do this?’…

Panicking, I asked.. ‘When u need it?’.. ‘What? Tmr?’… ‘er… okok… I do it now..’
Took me half an hr to unstitch the existing tag.. maybe it’s pride… I wanna do a gd job… It’s just the silly thought I have.. even the t-shirt gotta be iron nicely =p J will come nagging.. ‘No need so nice lah.. I wear it inside de..’ well.. I choose to be perfectionist for certain things =)
Know what? I started at 8pm.. and struggled till 10+.. occasionally see him smiling cunningly =p..

Finally done!! After the hard work.. I demanded mango cake =) hahahha….
He had recall early morning at 5am.. I was still dreamy.. think he worn the army uniform lah..
That day after dinner.. he got me the cake.. hahah…. Then just when we got out of the lift reaching our apartment,
J said:"The tags were sewed on the wrong side.. you need to re-do it leh..’
Me (in astonishment):" What????!!!! You sure? I asked you many times to confirm the position! You mean I have to re-sew again? It’s very tough you know..!"
Still in disbelief.. I asked him again until he ‘siam’.. open the door and went to water the plant…
I can’t believe it manz!!
Now I know why got 2 slices of cake =pp

Complained to mummy later.. told her I will take 2.5hrs this time.. hahahhahah……

Lao Lao Lao Yu Sheng

In these 14 days of cny, we have lao 6 times le.. =D

Hahahah… Teochew Yusheng, Cantonese Yusheng, Homemade Yusheng…
No matter what type of yusheng.. it all come with all the ‘shouting of good words!’
Hear neighbours shouting ‘Fa Ah!’.. you know they are ‘LAOing’ hahahaha =D
This year at my mil hse, being ‘Da Sao’.. J’s sis gave me the privilege to start the ‘young grp’ yusheng =D

Luckily everyone helped and we stirred up a great yusheng!!

The yusheng at my mum’s place on thursday was also a nice one.. we examine what ingredient they use.. but still cun figure out.. hehe..
Other recommended yusheng.. Crystal jade (crispy yam strips)… Sakae Sushi (generous serving of fish)..

Have enuf of it.. and all the feasting is too much for me.. =D tmr yuan xiao.. Happy chinese vday!
