Goodbye and hello!

Last Friday was my last day at the dept..

Many nice colleagues I have.. many I can call friends.. =)

I've learnt a lot over the years.. the many opportunities that I have.. very grateful..

We had team lunch that day and together with my other colleague who is leaving the dept, we got the team a cake.. and shared with the rest of the branch..

So touched to receive gifts and nice thoughts from the many friends.. I'm pampered!

Will still see each other since I've only moved a level down.. But still, it's a 'Goodbye'.. hehe..

And today, I'm officially doing corporate tax again.. After 7.5years..

People there seems nice.. I'm warned of the 'independent' culture there.. But a a little shocked by the 'workstation' we have.. Cos it's really packed and there is no space for new workstation, we are sitting like ttas.. haha..but it's a lot better than when we were at 4th floor IRIN time.. really know how to console myself =P

Anyway, I reckon work's going to be very very challenging.. And with some gd news, I expect more of myself.. Hmm.. will jus look forward now.. dun wanna spend too much time thinking.. jus take things as it comes =)

So 'Hello'! to the new challenges ahead =)

New challenges ahead...

Just this week, I realised that my tummy had 'shifted upwards'.. This also marks the start of the 3rd trimester..
Even if I wear that loose dress, it's still obvious that I'm pregnant.. haa...
One evening while I took the train home, was pleasantly surprised when someone touched my arms and pointed to one corner of the train..
There, a lady stood up and offered me her seat.. and the rest made way for me.. Thankful we have such gracious pple around..
Well, there are many others who will sit and watch you wobble through the journey =S
With my new 'figure'.. it's definitely less comfortable and more tiring as days passed.. Hopefully the support pillow will be of some help =)

Starting next monday, I will move on to do corporate tax.. It's something that I've always wanted to do.. I never like doing ops... hope work can still be challenging
while i pull myself back to the practicality of life and do something that is value added to the years here..
Ambitious? well, would say that i haven't change.. Been here for almost 8 years but still i wanna venture out..
Maybe this intention will change when the little one comes.. but no matter what, i'll give myself 2 to 3 years to learn..

Only starting to get cold feet when i'm 3mths to labour? haaa.... dun deny that i'm a little scared but like mummy says.. everyone can do it.. i can too =)
previously, there's no ultrascan, no epidural.. only laughing gas and scary nurses.. and our mums become 'auntie' as soon as they give birth..
now, u can see the progress of the bb's growth.. have all methods of pain relief to choose..

Naughty Baby Lyn

She has been practising her kicks more frequently later.. Not just kicks of excitement when we have good food.. haha..

But whenever, I let mummy feel my tummy.. she will stop kicking..! Haa... Baby lyn's playing hide and seek with granny oredi =)

This is me at 6.5mths..! People thought I look like 4mths pregnant =P Hmm.. gotta feed her more.. cos now is the time when she starts to grow chubby.. hehe..

When we hear that she's overweight at 5mths, we're afraid she will grow too big.. Now that the gynae confirms she's medium size and no longer overweight, I wanna make sure she's fed well.. How contradicting =P

Well, just hope all the extras that I eat now goes to her.. And shall see her in another 2 weeks' time =)

Shopping spree...

There's so much to get for a newborn..!

With this, it gives me a valid reason to shop =P

And although J can't take time off from work, mummy's been a great shopping companion =)

And this wkend.. we went to the Motherhood fair.. Me and mummy spent the whole afternn there.. And we carried bags of pampers and huggies back.. In the evening, I went there again to show J the cots.. Lyn's overworked herself on her offday.. hahahha...

We decided to take a look at other cots the next day.. Went kiddy palace and realised that for the same price, we get the fibrelux mattress and muscial decorator at the fair.. so went back to expo again.. this time we confirmed the Rocio cot and also got the steriliser at a good price =)

So happy that we're settling the bigger stuffs now.. Tempted to get the baby talk set too since the salesperson locked in the discount for us.. hmm..

Here's a bagful of clothes and lots of diapers..

We're also decided on this pink combi stroller for the little one.. May get it tmr.. hehe...
