Hee... I'm still at home..!

Today, no pressure at all.. just enjoying sunday with gd food =)

Morning, we woke up in time for mac donald's breakfast.. no happy meal for baby =D

Then got donut frm four leaves for afternoon snack..

As for dinner, I decided to cook!

Here we are....

Chicken chop with asparagus.. baked beans and healthy potatoes with whipped cream and bacon =)

I'm really pleased to prepare a yummy dinner today.. probably cos of the light hearted mood as well.. so food turned out nice too =D hee...

So now after dinner.. all prepared for the F1 show =)

It's not 26th oct (ariel's birthday)..

It's 4pm oredi.. and after a little false alarm again this morning.. I decided to take it easy.. Had a bit of brownish bleeding but apparently it stopped.. so I guess baby lyn decided not to have the same birthday as cousin ariel who is so adorable =D

J has been busy with work.. can't take the day off to accompany me today.. tried not to be disappointed although I told him to go to work when he told my mil that he will stay at home with me today.. hee.. she's worried that I won't be able to cope alone at home.. keep reminding us to stay calm when there's any sign.. she even offered to come to our place.. =) after assuring her that I'm ok and J will be around today, then she's ok.. haa. but J sneaked to work..

Silly him.. I found a piece of paper with his name and a few contact numbers in case i need to find him.. made me cracked.. hahah... well, he's always not contactable at handphone due to the place he's working.. But lucky for that, else I wouldn't have waited long enuf to know that it's false alarm..

And as I trying to stay cool and wait.. Baby lyn and I watched Barbie and the diamond castle this morning.. Mum called again to check if it's a true sign.. and she overheard the cartoon movie we were watching.. haha.. no wonder baby don't wanna come out.. cos so comfortable watching cartoon in my tummy.. she said.. waahahah....

so.. let's see.. many ah yi are waiting for her arrival.. bet my parents and in laws are anxious too.. but this naughty little one just taking her own sweet time to give me that surprise..

So tempted to go test drive or to the motor show with J tmr.. but I know it's a 'no'.. think the sales consultant won't allow too.. hee..

Went out for a walk at compass point as lazing at home is a bad idea to prepare for labour...

Thought I would have gone into labour yest nite when I had 2 hours of cramp middle of the night.. but managed to fall asleep in the end..

Baby lyn's almost ready to say hi!

Today's the start of my long 'vacation'.. haa.. stopped work and decided to stay home, relax and wait for the arrival of my little one..

Just went to see the gynae (weekly).. and I'm a week frm the edd.. As I haven't felt much contraction over the month, I'm expecting my gynae to suggest induction.. Even so when the clinic assistant who was supposed to be due on 2 oct gave birth few days ago after inducing for 2 days..

So just before my turn to see the gynae, I msg J to ask him when I shld induce if the dr says I have to.. or shld we wait till after the due.. hmm.. he's too busy to notice my sms...

Finally, my turn to see dr wong.. she's always packed and have to see mummies-to-be over her lunch time.. while the other 2 drs can have their lunch break.. no wonder she's so slim =) She checked the baby's weight.. she has grown another 200g over the wk =) and there's still enough water around her though I notice that she's moving lesser this few days.. She also suggest I shld not rest too much else the bb won't wanna come out any sooner.. hee. I thought I can rest at home from now.. haha.. walking and exercising are what I shld be doing.. she said..

Dr also check if I'm dilating.. surprisingly, she said I've dilated abt 1.5cm and I shld have experienced some contradiction which I din notice.. so baby lyn may arrive anytime frm now.. likely this wkend =) and if I go walk for 3hrs at vivo.. I may jus give birth tmr.. haha..

I was shaking after hearing that.. that's when I start to feel nervous.. sms J again to tell him what the gynae said..

Made my way to bugis for lunch.. just then J called.. he sounded excited and nervous.. told him I'm having lunch before going home.. told him I'm ok but he's jus too concerned.. told me to take cab home str after lunch.. hee.. minutes later, he called again.. dunno what he wanna say.. I'm not done with lunch and told him I'll walk to take train home.. guess he wished he can come pick me home right away.. haha....

I still thought of shopping a little before going home.. =D
Let's see if the gynae's prediction is true!

Pooh, piglet and little princess afternoon =)

It's a hot sunny afternoon.. decided to watch a movie from the website that jes gave me..

Piglet's big movie is the one =)

Together with pooh, piglet and friends.. my little princess and I had a happy afternoon at home.. Not forgetting her milk =D

Haa.. daddy J studying in the study room while the maid studying her dictionary at another room.. hahaha...

In the evening, we went out for dinner with my in laws.. they suggest we go for seafood at no-sign board.. it will be another 40 days that I can't take seafood.. haha.. so much to see at geylang.. hee.. and along the way from the carpark to the restaurant.. J jus keeps nagging and nagging.. see where u go! careful! blah blah blah.. hahahah...

It's milo time again =)

J volunteered to go for blood donation today! Again, I can't donate with him.. After lunch at kovan, we made our way to the cc opposite for the donation.. Acting pro, we walked up to the usual building.. who knows, they change the venue to another bigger building by the side.. haha...

As we were earlier than usual, we see more crowd at the donation ctr.. It's very heartwarming to see so many pple who cares.. As a proud wife, I accompanied J every time for the donation.. hehe..

This time round, I thought there's no milo.. but they are actually hidden behind.. haha.. but it's not tempting cos I just had lunch and did not suffer frm hunger hangz like before..

Before the donation, we were wondering what colour bandage will the nurse use.. and haha.. it's white!

My mil was shocked to see the bandage on J's arm.. she thought something bad had happened.. she din expect J to go for blood donation.. haha.. well, under my influence mah..

10 days and counting...

My little one is too comfortable in my tummy and still hasn't give me any sign that she wanna come out.. haa...

Went for my weekly appointment now.. which means i'm at the last 2 weeks of the full 40 weeks of pregnancy.. time flies yeah?!

There must be many babies queuing to come out recently.. on my last visit, my gynae went for another delivery again.. and I had to see her after lunch and rush back to work.. Last wk, J was on course and I had to lunch myself.. this is the 2nd time he miss the visit with me and the other time, my gynae also went for delivery.. haa..

My gynae rushed back after an hour and the poor lady still hasn't pushed her bb out.. so thankful that my dr knows i need to rush back to work and she sees me first instead of the other couple.. hehe..

I'm really surprised that bb lyn has grown so much over the 2 weeks.. she gained 400g! This little one has a sweet tooth.. she likes the sweet bubble tea that mummy has been drinking the last 1 mth.. hahaha.... Right from the start, I like sweet things instead of sour food.. which is very diff frm past habit..

So now that I'm counting down to the last 10 days.. I wonder if she will be late.. hmm....

These r wat i take every morning for e past mths.. The pink pills, fish oil n milk.. Coincidentally, e pills r pink!

Went to visit my exbranch mates yest n had a nice chat with them.. It's e last 2 wks n recently pple hve been asking when i'm due.. N i'll proudly reply tat it's anytime n edd is children's day :-)

I m thankful tat i'm still feeling gd n enjoying e last trimester.. It's all e birdnest, tonic tat my mum n mil prepared.. E luxury of at least 8hr sleep everynite.. Friends who cheered me n bb on.. E swimming sessions tat J brought me n nt forgetting he thoughtfully fetch me frm wk..

Luv u all.. Hope bb lyn is progressing well with all these care, luv n friendship :-)

It's a little diff tis yr.. Woke up feeling excited tat it's mid autumn festival n looking fwd to the evening..

I even found last yr's leftover paper lantern n e hello kitty lantern! I recall yrs bk when we bring it to east coast.. Haa..

But who knws.. I was had tummy discomfort after dinner n oni relieve is to rest in bed n hope e pain goes away on it's own..

Juz then, J came in with e hello kitty lantern! Smile :) n e mooncake tat he bought had to wait till tonite when we finally taste it.. Yummy!

A little bored at home...

Haven't been able to sleep properly last nite as it was a little uncomfortable with the bb resting on my tummy.. dunno if it's my imagination or for real, i felt that I was dilating last nite before i sleep.. till now, i'm still unsure how the braxton hicks really feels like.. There's jus too much going on at my tummy.. hee..

Well, J gotta go back to work today.. rushed off when it started raining this morning.. so it's jus me and the maid today =( hope he can finish early today..

Showed the maid how to prepare french toast this morning.. let her fry the 2nd lot =) she's a very quick learner.. Yest brought her home after dinner at my in-laws.. the whole nite, we were chatting abt this 'new member'.. glad that my in-laws are happy with her.. she's considered smart as a first time maid though I realised she's cannot be interrupted halfway through her chores.. else, she will forget to either close the door or off the lights.. hee.. a little secret.. I cannot stand pple waste electricity.. hehe..

Now the cats at my in-law's place sleeps with her and are fed by her.. she adapts very quickly and not much guidance is needed within a week with us.. haa.. she din have carsick on the way back home =P that's an improvement! else we all have to worry abt that cos travelling is gonna be a daily affair =)

She's a year younger than my bro and we can imagine how 'child-like' she can be.. her sister is also a maid here at yishun.. and she got a cousin who is an engineer in s'pore.. so we concluded that they are all quite well educated.. my mil told us that she asked her if my bb is a girl or boy.. then my mil showed her the bb clothes that she got from genting.. and the maid laughed and say is a girl.. haha...

oh, shld have taken photos of the clothes my mil bought.. the white knitted cardigan, denim skirt and some others are so pretty..! J's sis also got her a goofy when she was at hk last month.. =) Friends also pamper little lyn with clothes and booties.. so sweet of them to think of my baby =) really touched!

It's 13th sep today.. still 'virgo' on the horoscope.. Being a horoscope believer, i read about the compatibility of virgo bb with libra mummy.. as a virgo bb, she will be practical and perfectionist and neat while libra mummy are more idealistic and love pretty stuffs.. and like to bring her out for friends gathering.. haha.. so true.. I always wish to meet up my girlfriends and their babies but maybe some of them prefer not.. Haha.. I sure will suggest that I bring baby lyn along when we have outings =P but then virgo bb lyn would prefer to stay home.. haha..

However, if she comes after 23th sep, then we can enjoy being both going out tog.. ooh.. all the fun things we can do tog =) haha.. and being libra, we are too empathetic and care too much how pple think of us.. so it's gemini daddy's job to tell us that we should not care too much.. waahahahah..... so funny.. but all 3 of us would have problem when we go out for dinners as most of the time, we will decide for the others rather than what we really want..

Interesting huh?! =P

Yeah, J jus sms me that he's finishing work soon! I better go bath and get lunch for my hardworking maid.. =)

Forgetfulness strikes again =P

I realised a significant change in this last month is forgetfulness.. Nothing can quite register on my mind and even words that I said..

Writing down can be a solution but most of the time, I find myself stare blankly on the paper or monitor.. even reading is a problem now.. I jus find myself staring blankly most of the time.. oh no! I hope this is temporary =(

I'm not focused or organised anymore.. when I most need to.. really.. With the maid under my supervision for today, and the more she gets used to the chores.. I literally have to crack my head to find things for her to do.. =P I guess mummy will also have problem when she's here for my confinement..

I've jus browse through our wedding photos again.. fond memories =) Looking at those and my bulky tummy now.. Haa..

While I was enjoying the moment, that naughty ger seems to be eagerly enjoying the sight too.. she kicks and push.. so excited! haha... Guess she will enjoy stealing the limelight next time =P

Oh ya, there's a false alarm last night.. I experience Braxton Hicks contraction of maybe jus stomach discomfort last night.. It started off with mild cramps.. at an hour interval.. then tummy got quite painful for a while.. I tried to time the contraction and suddenly, the loud and continuous siren from the opposite block.. haha.. rem what I said? 'press the bell to meet the world'! waahahhaha... Well, it was false alarm and we din panick.. Tried to sleep and let's see when is the the 'pain'.. Luckily I was able to fall asleep soon and it's jus false alarm.. Baby lyn would be too small to be delivered..

Sign of contraction is really tricky and difficult to distinguish.. if it's called 'labour pain' I expect it to be not jus cramps.. wahahaha....

Baby hiccups.. eurp! eurp!

Was telling jes last thurs that baby lyn is hiccuping again =P and told her I'll rem to blog down this amazing experience =)

Babies starts to hiccup from the first trimester but mummies can only feel it during the 2nd trimester.. It's normal for babies to hiccup a few times a day and last for few minutes each time.. many specialists believe that baby’s hiccups may be helping to strengthen the diaphragm muscle in order to help the baby breathe both in the womb and once they are born.

The thumping feeling can be quite irritable for sensitive mummy like me.. hee.. =P

This eurp! eurp! can continue even after the babies sees the world =) But it's perfectly ok =)

Baby is ready to see the world =)

Wow..! 9mths has passed and I'm reaching my 37th week next wed =) Time flies..

Went for my fortnightly check up last friday and we're told that baby's head has 'engaged' aka gone down enough.. So the baby can press the bell to enter this world anytime frm now!

I haven't have much symptom.. but haven't been able to eat well and rest well recently.. Today is 7th sep.. and the baby's less than a mth to due.. Everything seems to come slowly in place.. The cot is here.. the stroller is here.. the clothes are ready for washing.. the bag to bring to hosp on delivery is almost complete.. arranged to meet the coordinator from s'pore cord blood bank 2 wks later and yes, our maid is also here!

The maid seems to be quite hardworking.. she has been working all day and we need to tell her to rest if she's tired.. but well.. that's what we can tell her only as employers.. Think it's pretty hard for her.. she vomitted twice yest due to car rides.. really hope she will get used to it soon.. Quite a diligent girl as she will do what we mentioned to her even before asking her to start.. But still, we need to adapt having a stranger in the hse.. Was shocked when we saw her use cloth to wipe the leaves of our plant! Haa.. the plant is really dusty lah =P

Being a perfectionist, she is still acceptable.. no worry except whether she will overwork and faint.. hee.. Hope she knows her limits.. Told J jokingly that she is now my asset.. if she gets lost or anything, i'm legally responsible for her =P

Well, jus take it as it comes.. I haven't accepted the fact that we need a maid.. but jus hope she can be helpful rather than a burden for us..

She smiles a lot and when i told her about the baby, she seems delighted.. so far so gd then.. except for her carsickness.. =p

For the next few weeks.. time will fly even faster.. tmr I will take leave to guide the maid since my mil is away on holiday.. and work week will be short =) The following monday will be my next gynae appointment again.. and the rest of the week is training! Following that, I will work for 3 days and start my leave.. wow!

Luckily J will be n course and hopefully can fetch my frm work as it's getting more and more challenging getting thru the week going home on my own..

Ah! i guess it's really cramp inside my tummy cos this naughty one keeps fidgeting.. and whenever she starts her hiccup routines, it's so uncomfortable.. Just hope she will gain a little more weight for the nxt 2 wks.. grandma will continue to nag at mummy =P

Clock seems to work harder than usual..

Yep, esp so thru the weekend..

Had a gd lunch at coffee club.. Had yummy strawberry milkshake and codfish while J order ice mocha and prawn pasta.. =) Afterwhich we went kinokuniya bookstore and guess what? I was offer a photo shot with the michelin masque =p

Then it's shop.. shop.. shop...so looking forward for the orange stroller to come this friday! Baby lyn got a free combi toy from the stroller.. hehe.. I'm so tempted to open up to play but hmm.. resist the temptation and let my little one have that priviledge to open her new toy.. haha.. if she knows how to unwrap it =P

We went Tangs and haa.. got her a tigger soft toy.. it's so cute! And a 'Tiger' hot flask.. waahahha.... Seems like now we jus shop for her =p Hee.. i'm not complaining arh..

It's exactly 1 mth to my edd.. 1 oct.. children's day which is my favourite day.. will it be baby lyn's special day too?

Though clock is ticking so fast but i hope it will be faster.. can't wait for the day to end so that i can catch some sleep.. can't wait for friday to come for my gynae appt again.. can't wait for the wkend to come again.. can't wait to see the naughty ger who keeps moving and fidgetting..
